Paired Reading Information Session for Parents

Dear Parents/guardians,

You are invited to attend a Paired Reading information session on Tuesday 17th January at 1.15pm.

The session is aimed at parents/guardians of P2-P7 children and should last only 30-40 mins. During this session we will explain the Paired Reading Programme which is completed daily at home over an 8 week period.

Paired reading is a child centred reading approach which involves the adult and child reading together each day.

It has been proven to raise attainments in reading. In fact, recent years have seen children achieving up to 2 years gain on reading age. I would urge you to take the time to commit to paired reading and have no doubt that it will be enjoyable for both you and your son/daughter.
