To Our Very Special P7 Class of 2020
It is time for us to say farewell to you and because we cannot do it in person, we have compiled all our thoughts onto this page, which we dedicate to you.
On Your Leaving Day Take Time To Remember...
A Farewell Poem...
Enjoy reading all about how wonderful you have been and how we will miss you.
With love from all the adults who have had the privilege of caring for you during your time in St Clare's Abbey.
To P7
Behind you, All your memories.
Before you, All your dreams.
Around you, All who love you.
Within you, All you need.
Wishing all you all the best for the future, Love Mrs McVeigh
Something to use in your new school-
Pupil: Excuse me, teacher.
Teacher: Yes?
Pupil: Would you be mad at me for something I didn’t do?
Teacher: No, of course I wouldn’t!
Pupil: Good, because I didn’t do my homework.😉
Goodbye everyone!
Girls and Boys of Primary 7, I wish you every blessing as you leave St Clare's Abbey to begin your new schools in August. May you always remember that you are loved and cherished by God and his blessed Mother, Mary.
May God always hold you in the palm of his hand.
Lots of love
Sr Rosemary.
Well, this year should have ended much differently and that makes me sad for you and for us. I am sad to see you go but I know that your new schools are so lucky to have such a talented and hardworking group of children. Thank you for all the fun and learning we have had this year. I will remember you all with fondness, particularly the quizzes, football quarrels, riddles, conversations about tea, coding fun, making movies, balloon rockets, singing and the dancing to ‘Dance Monkey’ at the retreat (you know who you are). I hope you look back on your year with the same fond memories.
I wish you all every success in your new schools, they are lucky to have you!
Wishing you all lots of luck as you move onto your new schools. I so enjoyed teaching you at different stages of your primary school journey. Enjoy celebrating this special occasion.
Best Wishes to you all as you move into a new chapter in your lives. It's a new adventure, a new beginning. Enjoy your celebrations.
Mrs Tierney.
Hi to all the P7 boys and girls

Good luck in your new adventures, enjoy life and always try your best.
To each and everyone one of you, I wish you good luck in your new schools. These school are so lucky to have you all. It is such a pity that your Primary 7 ended in a different way, but please be assured we will remember you very fondly. Thank you to all the students who helped us with messages over the years.

Wishing you the best of luck in your new schools. You have all worked tremendously hard and should be very proud of your achievements so far.
Good luck 😊
Many of the girls in this year group formed part of my very first Primary 1 class and what a joy they were. I remember that year so well and with such fondness. You may remember the milk bottle igloo we attempted to create, the Roman Soldier Christmas play, our playtime around the “Big Tree” and your first introduction to bricks, tyres and pallets in the outdoor Construction Area! Such wonderful memories of such beautiful girls! Thank you for making my first experience of Primary 1 so special. I would like to take this opportunity to wish each and every one of you talented boys and girls, the very best for the future. Your adventure is only beginning! Lots of love, Mrs Gallagher (Miss Mc Shane)

Well P7, your St. Clare's Abbey journey is coming to an end. I had the pleasure of teaching many of you in P5 and have fond memories of you all. I wish you all well for the future and hope you settle in your new schools. New beginnings and change can be hard but, believe you can and you're halfway there! I will leave you now with the wise words of Dr. Seuss,
"You have brains in your head and feet in your shoes, you can steer yourself in any direction you choose!"
Mrs Doherty
Dear Primary 7 pupils, I will not say too much in this message as I have shared my thoughts in greater detail in the card that I have written to you and put in your ‘Leaver’s Pack’. I do want to say two things however: firstly that I have been privileged to have been your principal and watch you grow and mature within this very important initial chapter in your education. You have made me very proud. Secondly, in terms of your future, I urge you to hold our school motto close to your heart and move forward always trying your best to: Love God, Love Others and Love Learning- Amor Dei, Aliorum, Literarumque. The world needs young people and adults who try to live their lives by these values.
Goodbye, you will be missed greatly!
Boys and girls of Primary 7, good luck in the next chapter of your lives. I was lucky enough to have taught some of you in Primary 2 and in Primary 4. You are brilliant boys and girls and I know that you will all do so well in your next venture. Good luck 🥰🌟
As the class of 2020 your departure from primary school was not how it should have been but think of all the fabulous times that lie ahead.
Look after each other in your new schools!! Love and best wishes!!
Boys and girls, I am delighted to have the chance to say "Goodbye" to you all as you leave Primary 7 and embark on a new and exciting adventure. I remember having the pleasure of teaching some of you when you were in Primary 2. Did you know, that was my very first year on the staff of St Clare's Abbey? I think I will always remember you for that reason! It has been a real treat watching you grow into such lovely children. Congratulations to you all for your wonderful achievements over the last seven years. I would like to say a special word of thanks to those of you who have been committed to learning a musical instrument and to the children who were part of our choirs. What a time we have had together! From Peace Proms to School Choir of the Year and Newry Feis performances, you all contributed so much to the musical life of our school with your talents and I am very grateful for that! Finally, I wish each one of you the best of luck for September, be excited for what lies ahead and always remember the special times you had at St Clare's Abbey. From Miss Mallon
We wish you all the best of luck in your new schools in September. Sorry we couldn't get to say good bye properly with a party day in the dining room.
God bless and stay safe

I wish you all the best in your new schools. I know you all will work hard and be kind and helpful to others.
God Bless You.
Primary seven boys and girls, it just seems like yesterday that many of you were in Nursery. You have grown so much and you have learned so much in St. Clare’s Abbey. I always tell my Nursery children in June that they have outgrown my chairs and that they are ready to go to Primary one. Now you are ready to go on your next exciting adventure. I hope that you make lots of friends, discover so many new subjects and enjoy your new schools. Good bye and good luck.
Well done to the class of 2020, a great bunch of girls and boys. We enjoyed working with all of you throughout the years. Thank you for the wonderful memories.
Good luck in your new school, enjoy making new friends and learning lots of new subjects.
Congratulations to all the P7 boys and girls on completion of their primary education. Thank you so much for all the fun and memories over the last 7 years, it was a pleasure to work with each and every one of you.
Best of luck in your new school, have lots of fun and make lots of new friends.
Primary 7, I can’t believe we have reached this point in the year already. It’s so sad that we never got to say goodbye properly. We have missed out on all the fun times at the end of the year. It has been a privilege to have worked with you over these last four years and getting to know you all so well. I wish you all the best of luck in your new schools and I know you will all shine and achieve great success.
You are all STARS in my eyes.
LOVE and best wishes.
P7, it is a great pity that we have to say goodbye in this form, do not shake your hand, do not say, we will not go on a P7 trip, we will not have a farewell mass and performance … life has presented us with a different scenario.
I really hope that in this next chapter you will be very happy with people you know and those you will just get to know. Please remember to try very hard in every aspect of school life from the first day and show everyone how good you are!
YOU ARE ST CLARE'S ABBEY CHILDREN. GOOD LUCK !!! Love xoxo
Primary 7, I wish you all the best in your new school.
Good luck to you all. Be happy.
Congratulations and Good Luck Class of 2020!

"Work hard, be kind, and amazing things will happen."
Primary 7, you have played a key role in our school this "strange" school year. None of us will forget 2020 and the staff of St Clare's Abbey won't forget you. You should be very proud of yourselves and the contribution you made to the day to day running of the school. Please don't worry about your new school, if you are always honest, kind, caring, polite and hard working you will be happy. (I had the privilege of working with some of the girls in P1 & 2 and have many fond memories of our two years together)
