We celebrated Children’s Mental Health week 2026. The theme this year was ‘This is my place.’ All classes explore where their place is and where each pupil feels a sense of belonging.
Mr Byrne, our nurture group teacher also held Nurture in 5 sessions for all P1 to P4 year groups. This is a nurturing intervention which teaches and practices calming techniques. A Nurture in 5 session is comprised of 5 parts.

4. Breathe In
5. Wind Down
We hope our pupils will remember to practice these techniques the next time they feel they may be ‘losing control.’ These techniques will help them to stay in control and remain calm.
