Coding - Summer Camp

6th May 2026

The Junior Summer School (6th–10th July) is designed for primary-aged pupils and provides an excellent introduction to ICT, coding and problem-solving, delivered by experienced, qualified teachers in the Computer Science building at Queen’s.
Key benefits for pupils include:
  • Led by qualified computing teachers- Workshops are delivered by experienced programming teachers from some of Northern Ireland’s top-performing schools.
  • Development of core ICT and thinking skills- Activities support problem-solving, logical thinking, creativity and digital confidence.
  • Hands-on learning experiences- Pupils create games, build simple apps, program robots, and explore coding through platforms such as Minecraft, Roblox and LEGO, alongside an introduction to Python.
  • Confidence and creativity- A safe and encouraging environment where children can develop confidence and bring their ideas to life.
  • A university learning experience- Delivered in the Computer Science building at Queen’s University Belfast, giving pupils an inspiring insight into university-level learning.
We have included a range of ready-to-use materials (PDFs and image files) to make sharing straightforward via email, newsletters or social media.
If sharing online, you are very welcome to include the following #codeclock10#codeclock2026 #timetocode to further promote the event.
If this is not the most appropriate contact, I would be very grateful if you could forward this to the relevant colleague.
Thank you again for your time and continued support.

Warm regards,
