Digital Parent Workshop

Dear Parent/Guardian,

As part of our ongoing collaboration work with St. Colman's College, we are pleased to offer you the opportunity to attend an upcoming parent workshop, Empowering Parents in the Digital Age, which will take place on Monday 18 May 2026 from 6.00pm to 7.30pm at St. Colman's College. This in-person event will explore a range of important issues for families, including online safety, social media, gaming, screen time, parental controls, and the rise of AI and how it affects young people.

The evening will feature Joanne McGovern, PhD researcher at Ulster University, Rosalind McClean, Regional Leader for Smartphone Free Childhood, and a representative from INEQE Safeguarding Group, who will share practical guidance and support for parents navigating the digital world.

For a limited time, registration is open exclusively to parents and carers of St. Ronan's PS & St. Clare's Abbey PS before being opened to the wider public. As places are limited, I would encourage you to register early if you wish to attend. I would also ask that tickets are reserved only where attendance is intended.
