Help Hope Grow

27th May 2020

During Lockdown my family in Newry has embarked upon a community project called, ”The Hope Project”.

The aim of the project is to extend hope amidst the challenges of our “lockdown Life”.

We have left a Covid -19 snake at several locations in an effort to encourage absolutely everyone in our community to come together even though we are apart.

We invite you to decorate a stone which can be inscribed with a little message of hope or an emblem or symbol of hope or thanks. If you do not have access to art materials please add your undecorated stone to show that you want to extend Hope.

We have left Hope Covid -19 Snakes at beautiful locations to encourage you to step in to and experience the true beauty of nature. Hope currently grows on the towpath and Greenway in Newry. Hope grows on the shore front in Warrenpoint and at the entrance to Kilbroney Park, Rostrevor. We will be extending Hope to Camlough lake, the pond Bessbrook, Solitude Park, Banbridge, the promenade Newcastle, the harbour Kilkeel and several other locations to be confirmed in the very near future, when we have confirmation of lockdown restrictions.

We thank our local media for their support in helping us to grow Hope.

We truly thank each and everyone who has extended Hope with their beautiful inspirational messages of hope that have been posted on social media and most of all on the stones that have extended our Hope covid-19 snakes. It is you that we draw our inspiration from which empowers us to continue to grow hope.

“Please grow Hope”.
