pOur P5 pupils have been hard at work this week helping to care for our poly tunnel. With support and guidance from our Eco Council, the children spent time weeding the raised beds and preparing the soil for new growth. Once the space was cleared, they planted a variety of seedlings that will continue to grow over the coming months.
The pupils showed fantastic teamwork as they worked together to tidy the area, learn about plant care, and understand why maintaining our growing spaces is so important for both our school and the environment.
The Eco Council were brilliant leaders throughout the session, helping P5 decide where each plant should go and explaining how regular weeding helps our crops thrive.
We’re excited to watch the plants grow and to see how P5 continue to contribute to our school’s outdoor learning spaces.
