Miss Jones’ P5 class have enjoyed a busy and engaging Term 2 with lots of exciting learning opportunities. As part of Enterprise NI, the children explored the world of business, working collaboratively to develop ideas, manage decisions and build their teamwork and problem-solving skills.
They also had the opportunity to work with specialist music tutors, developing their singing skills and confidence while learning new songs together. Forest School sessions were a highlight, with pupils taking part in den building activities that encouraged cooperation, communication and resilience in the outdoors.
In Numeracy, P5 have been using IZAK 9 to strengthen their mental maths and problem-solving skills through interactive challenges. They also learned how to use Carroll diagrams to sort 2D shapes according to different properties, developing their mathematical vocabulary and reasoning skills. We are very proud of their enthusiasm and positive attitude to learning this term.
