Play Based Learning in Miss Caughey’s class Term 2
This term, Play Based Learning has focused on curiosity, teamwork and creative thinking. The children have been investigating how bridges stay strong, experimenting with different materials to see which ones can support the most stable structures. Outside, their twisting, turning and squatting skills have continued to develop through constructing dens in the forest. Many children loved attaching fabrics to the fence and using sticks in their designs, an activity that strengthened both their construction and problem solving abilities while sparking imaginative play. In Creative Classroom, the children have been deeply engaged in working with clay, exploring how this flexible material can be moulded, pressed and transformed in a variety of ways.
