Our P7s were extremely fortunate to welcome Dr. Anthony Davey, dad of Lucia, to school today to lead them in CPR techniques. Dr. Davey led a very informative session, explaining what CPR is and how crucial this life saving technique could be. The pupils were then able to use our ‘Resuscitation Anne’ models to practise. Dr. Davey also showed us how to place a patient in the recovery position. He brought a ‘training’ defibrillator so we could see how it would work if it was needed. We are so fortunate to have 3 defibrillators in school. This is a wonderful life saving skill to learn.
