Relax Kids Week 3

6th Apr 2020

Dear Parents / Carers

I hope everyone is keeping safe and well. I had great positive feedback during the week from parents and children who have enjoyed and benefited from listening to the meditation.

Here are some comments being made from the children after listening:

“I feel so relaxed and calm”

“The meditation was good, mum enjoyed it too”

“I really enjoyed listening to your meditation along with our mum, it made us feel so relaxed”

I have added another recorded audio meditation Jack and the beanstalk from Relax Kids and I hope you and the children enjoy it.

The activity this week is Warm Up and Movement. This is the 1st step of Relax Kids 7 steps of relaxation. We will firstly warm up our bodies, followed by dancing to your favourite piece of music. We had a dance instructor recently in our school and all of the children loved taking part, there certainly were some fantastic dancers. The benefits are it warms up our bodies, boosts our energy and helps our circulation, all while having fun.

First we need to ‘Warm Up’. We are just warming up our bodies. I start from feet up; first roll our ankles, then rotate our knees, moving on up we rotate our hips, then move your head from side to side, move the shoulders up and down. Now that we are all warmed up, I would like everyone to dance to their favourite piece of music.

I really mean dance, let all that positive energy flow and remember to have fun.

You can find some lovely Easter Activities from Relax Kids  in the downloads section below.

You can also find the letters and meditations from week 1 & 2 under Relax Kids guidance. I will keep these brilliant resources below so you can use whatever and whenever suits you best.

Take care everyone and have a very Happy Easter 🐣

Keep safe and stay at home 💜
