Mainstay DRP is a charity supporting adults with learning disabilities. We run an inclusive hair service called Silent Cuts based in Scotch Street Downpatrick.
It is designed especially for children and adults who may find traditional salon environments overwhelming. This includes individuals who are autistic, have sensory sensitivities, anxiety, additional needs, or who simply prefer a quieter, more relaxed experience.
Appointments are offered in a calm, low-stimulus setting, with no pressure to talk, flexible timing, and a patient, understanding approach tailored to each person’s needs.
