The P 3 children engaged in a range of construction-based activities designed to promote creativity, problem solving, teamwork, and spatial awareness. Working both collaboratively and independently, the pupils used a variety of large and small construction materials. This included blocks, connectors, tubes, wooden planks and imaginative accessories to design and build their own structures. During their Forest visits the children engaged in creating marble runs and they connected to the natural world.
In Numeracy the class developed their understanding of measurement by exploring weighing through practical hands on activities.
World Book Day was celebrated in our school. Children dressed up in their favourite book characters, eager to share who they where and why they had chosen them.
In Literacy we heard the story about Zahara and we looked at African objects to understand the main character better.
Mr Byrne took the children for a relax activity to promote well being in school.
