Visiting Bagenal’s Castle - P4 Miss McCann’s Class
The P4 pupils had an exciting and educational afternoon at Bagenal's Castle as part of their local studies on buildings in the area! They discovered fascinating details about life in the past. While exploring the Banqueting Room, which was once two separate rooms, they spotted remnants of the past, including attic beam holes and heat stains on walls. They learned about the clever features that made the castle secure, like high doors and corbels for defense. The pupils also dressed up in period outfits and showcased their creativity, designing their own castles. A huge thank you to Declan and his team at Bagenal’s Castle for hosting this insightful, enjoyable tour.
