What a Busy and Festive Term Weβve Had!
This term has been packed with exciting learning experiences and festive celebrations across the school. Here’s a glimpse of what we’ve been up to:
π± Planting Experiment
Our young scientists explored how plants grow under different conditions. Pupils carefully observed changes and recorded their findings, sparking lots of curiosity about nature and sustainability.
π Christmas Crafts
Creativity was in full swing as children made beautiful Christmas decorations and cards to spread festive cheer. The classrooms are now sparkling with handmade treasures!
π Measuring Capacity
Maths came to life with practical activities on measuring capacity. Pupils enjoyed hands-on learning, estimating and comparing volumes using everyday containers.
π² Sustainable Transport – ‘Ditch the Dark’ Science Experiment
As part of our commitment to sustainability, pupils investigated the importance of visibility and safety when travelling in the dark. This linked perfectly with our ‘Ditch the Dark’ initiative promoting eco-friendly travel.
π School Trip to the Local Town Hall
Year groups visited the town hall to learn about local government and community roles. It was a fantastic opportunity to connect classroom learning with real-world experiences.
π¨ Pointillism Art
Inspired by famous artists, pupils experimented with pointillism techniques, creating stunning pieces using dots of colour. The results were truly impressive!
π Counting Batteries for Recycling
Our eco-team led a battery recycling drive, counting and sorting donations to help reduce waste and protect the environment.
π½ Christmas Dinner
The whole school came together for a delicious Christmas meal, sharing laughter and festive spirit.

A Special Visit from Mrs Claus
Excitement filled the air as Mrs Claus stopped by to read stories and spread holiday magic among the children.
πΆ Local Musicians Performing The Snowman
We were treated to a beautiful live performance of music from The Snowman by talented local musicians—a perfect way to celebrate the season.
It’s been a term full of learning, creativity, and community spirit. Thank you to everyone who contributed to making these experiences so memorable. We can’t wait to see what the next term brings!
