The annual Rice Cup was contested in Armagh and St Clare's Abbey competed excellently. It was the first time that girls took part in the competition and our girls were unlucky to lose to a very strong and experienced Omagh side. Our P6/7 team also bowed out at the semi final stage of the cup with a narrow defeat to Armagh CBS. However our P4/5 team competed fantastically well, narrowly losing by a single point in the shield final to CBS Belfast, a team entirely made up of P7 boys. Mr Byrne, Mr Clarke and Mr Digney were very proud of the efforts of all who participated.
